Do you have high blood sugar? Diabetes? Do you find yourself needing a nap in the afternoon? A few drops of MiraChrome works like a miracle.
Is your horse considered insulin resistant? Do you worry about laminitis every Spring and Fall season? Or is your horse simply an easy-keeper who stores fat in undesired places?
Has your dog or cat been diagnosed with insulin resistance or diabetes?
My name is Andrea Donaghy and, together with my husband Karl, we own a small animal nutrition company, Virginia Equine Research. We are sure that our chromium supplement MiraChrome is one major step in the process to better nutrition.
A high percentage of Americans–whether humans, dogs, cats, ponies, horses…or mice…are afflicted with disorders triggered by their diet. By far, the most common problems we face every day are obesity and obesity-related health issues. With 68.9% of the American population overweight or obese, it is almost inevitable that our pets will be too. And the damaging effects are the same: an increase in insulin resistance (IR), diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, and shortened life span.
For the past twelve years we have manufactured a product we call MiraChrome for horses and ponies. The extraordinary results caused us to branch out to provide our customers with a product appropriate for dogs and cats. Although we were not manufacturing MiraChrome for humans, some of our customers were sharing with their pets and getting documented improvement of their blood sugar levels. So now we are bringing MiraChrome to the dietary supplement market for humans. While MiraChrome can help, it is not a total solution; no single nutrient can work in a vacuum. Proper nutrition is key to the potential therapeutic action of MiraChrome.
Chromium is known to enhance the action of insulin, thereby reducing the amount of insulin released, and has been recognized as such by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Cambridge Journals, and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. The Linus Pauling Institute states, “A biologically active form of chromium participates in glucose metabolism by enhancing the effects of insulin.”
However, not all chromium supplements are created equal; some forms are poorly absorbed (chromium chloride, chromium yeast, and chromium niacin — niacin is known to cause insulin resistance). Our MiraChrome is highly bio-available, safe and best of all affordable!
