“Let me tell you, this HorseSense product is incredible! Old “Terp” (I’m A Terp, four-year old gelding owned and bred by Gordon Keys) had never done anything much—he won once in eight starts and came in last in the last four races before he was brought to me. But since putting him on the HorseSense, he seems to come out of a race in better shape than he went in. I mean it. He recovers so fast; you’d think he hadn’t even raced. On top of that, even with some old problems, now he’s running like a real horse. Because he was ready, I had him entered four times at Charles Town, and he couldn’t “get in,” so finally I entered him in an Allowance race that was a little over his head—but it’s all I could find, and he needed to run. What a hell of a race he ran!! He came in second to a horse that had already won eight races and over $200,000.”

He used to be such a lunatic that, the previous [hunt] season, as a professional’s staff horse, he threw himself on the ground, in the hunt field (in front of the entire field) and refused to get up and go hunting! By September, he placed Second in the Novice Division at the Middleburg Horse Trials. It was only the second time he had ever been out and he was very green for his level.
